  Nate joined PayneWest in August 2017 as an agribusiness specialty practice director. He is responsible for the new business development and growth of the Agribusiness Specialty Practice Group. He and his team are focused on serving the complex insurance and risk management needs of agribusiness companies in the Northwest. His responsibilities include proactive management of carrier and vendor relationships to meet client and agency goals and objectives. He's also responsible for the growth and development of sales and account executive colleagues.   Prior to joining PayneWest Insurance, Nate was the Business Development Officer for Wells Fargo's Central Washington Commercial Banking Office. He worked diligently to provide middle-market companies with a full array of financial services, including credit, treasury management, investment banking, commodity hedging, foreign exchange, and international trade services. Nate joined Wells Fargo in January 2013.   Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Nate was with Moss Adams LLP, the largest CPA firm headquartered on the West Coast. He worked in their Food and Agribusiness Group as a Business Development Executive with responsibilities for all of Washington, Oregon and Idaho. He was with Moss Adams since 2008.   Nate earned his Economics degree from the University of Washington as well as a Marketing Certificate from the University of Washington Extension. He also a member of Class 39 in the AgForestry Leadership Program, scheduled to graduate in April 2018. He is a Central Washington native with deep roots in the tree fruit industry having worked for his grandparents apple growing and packing business in Omak, WA during his high school and college years.   In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, tennis, golf, travelling, and coaching little league baseball. He's married to his college sweetheart and he and his wife are the proud parents of two boys.
